More details

California-based artist Raymond Pettibon (b.1957) is known internationally for his ink-wash drawings, which combine cartoon-like images with short, enigmatic texts. His irresistibly compelling and witty drawings reveal all the deviations within American culture, including film, crime, TV, sex, art, religion, sports, comic books and more. A late 1970s underground fanzine artist, and designer, of record covers for Sonic Youth and Black Flag, Pettibon has risen to become a world-renowned figure.
