Egle Sakalyte, born in Lithuania 1991, now is a London based artist – printmaker. She received a BA degree from the Academy Of Arts, Graphics department, in Vilnius (Lithuania), and has actively participated in various art group shows since 2011. Mostly focusing on silkscreen printmaking, Egle Sakalyte combines traditional and contemporary graphic techniques. In her artwork she often uses the technique of analog glitch, as a visual form for her ideas and concepts. Her digital collages integrate with the clash and differences of twentieth and twenty first centuries. Besides printmaking, inspired by unexpected and spaced-out glitch-a-like accidents she does also create visualizations and video installations often collaborating with musicians that create abstract ambient style of music.
