Dan Hillier

In December 2016, the Saatchi Gallery presented 'Ceremony: New Works by Dan Hillier'. The artworks exhibited extended ideas and themes featured in previous works.
However, the artist also produced works that marked a new and fresh direction. Indeed, Hillier travelled to the Peruvian Amazon rainforest to work with the psychedelic plant medicine ayahuasca alongside Shipibo shamans and Kaxinawa shamans from Acre in Brazil. This experience profoundly influenced his subsequent work.

Dan Hillier currently lives and works in East London. He has exhibited at Tate Britain and had a solo show at the Natural History Museum in Turin. In 2012, Dan Hillier collaborated with the animation director Tom Werber to create a zoetrope piece for the exhibition 'Marc Jacob - Louis Vuitton' held at the Musée des Arts Decoratifs in Paris.Throughout 2016 he collaborated with the Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London.
